Here are a few frequently asked questions....
and maybe a few more things you never knew you needed to know : )
|
By far, the most frequently asked question is:
- How big your piggy bank?
Our piggy bank is a nice medium size. It is about the size
of a small watermelon or a very large cantelope. Everyone seems
pleasantly surprised at the size once they have received their
order. So that you can see the size of a piggy bank, we took some
pictures of a piggy bank with a 5 dollar bill and a tape measure.

And the second most frequently asked question:
- Can you make a really big pig? (anything larger than 7")
Or a smaller one?
No, I'm sorry. We only have the molds for the one size piggy bank.
There is a lot of heavy lifting involved when we make a piggy bank and anything larger than our piggy bank, well, the mold would be too big to handle. We do now offer the Wee Little Piggy, if you are looking for a small, mini size piggy bank.
- Why can't my order be shipped tomorrow?
Please remember I hand paint everything to order that is pictured
on my site. There is no stock on hand. Each item is painted specifically for you. There are many steps that go into creating a personalized piggy bank, and each step takes time.
- Can I get my piggy bank without a hole in the bottom?
You sure can. Just check the little box at the final checkout.
Did you know you can use a butter knife to wriggle the money out
of the slot? No need to break the poor little piggy when he is
full : ) All Wee Little Piggy Banks will have a hole in the bottom. They cannot be ordered w/o a hole.
- How do you make the piggy banks without a hole?
Well, that is my secret and I can't tell you that : ) I can tell
you it is because I have my own molds that I am able to do that.
- Can you paint Mickey Mouse or Scooby Doo or a sports team
logo on a piggy bank?
No, I can't. Any designs or figures or characters like that are
copyrighted and cannot be reproduced without a license.
- Will the piggys scratch the furniture? .....are they smooth....or
do they have felt dots to protect furniture?
No, the piggy banks will not scratch the furniture, they are smooth
on the bottom of their feet. No need for the felt dots : )
- How fragile are the piggy banks?
Because of their shape, the piggy banks are fairly sturdy. Plus
I do try to make them a nice thickness. However, if they are dropped
on a concrete floor, they will break. Under normal use, they should
last forever.
- Can I get a replacement rubber stopper?
Certainly : ) Our piggy banks use a 1 3/8" rubber stopper.
I also have 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" on hand. The quickest way to get a stopper is to send a self addressed, stamped envelope with a note of the size stopper you want to me,
Lynn Korff 1229 Cornplanter Rd. Cabot, PA 16023. There is no charge for 1 or 2 stoppers :) Contact Me for the approximate postage you will need to put on your envelope.
- How do you package orders to ensure they do not break?
Every order is double boxed. That means first your order is packed
into one box (and giftwrapped if ordered), then it is packed into
a larger box with at least 2 inches of styrofoam packing surrounding
it.
- I have kids. Is your paint non toxic?
Yes, I only use non toxic colors and glazes on my items. This
makes everything dinnerware safe (even the piggy banks : )
- I am tired of my kids counting their money all the time.
How easy is it to get the "plug" out?
The rubber stoppers fit snugly in the hole in the bottom of the
piggy bank, but it can be removed by a child who is determined.
You can always order a piggy bank with no hole in the bottom by
clicking the box at final checkout.
- Do you sell your piggy banks wholesale or can you drop
ship?
Yes, I do both, but I am not accepting any new
wholesale or drop shipping accounts at this time. Thanks for asking
though : )
- What if my order is broken during shipment?
I insure all packages that I ship. If anything is broken during
shipment, I will file a claim with the Post Office and replace
your item at no cost to you.
