A Little Quality Time.....

Silly me. I had this notion in my head that Katie, Becky and I would dye our Easter eggs today. It would be quality mother-daughters time and we would be creative and have fun. Our eggs would be gorgeous and I would post pictures here on my blog. Silly silly me.

Half way through our 3 dozen eggs, Becky said she was bored. And I could tell Katie was just dropping eggs in color to get them done. Whatever happened to the 2 girls who couldn't wait to color Easter eggs? Who would spend 2 hours dying 4 dozen eggs and making the neatest, most original designs ever....I guess I blinked and they grew up. Katie is now 18 1/2 and a freshman in college, and Becky is 12 and in middle school. I guess those days are gone.....

And so, I get to post pictures of eggs I dyed. Not near as impressive or interesting, but it adds some color to the blog.

I even did a pig!

And as soon as the last egg was dyed, and the mess all cleaned up, both the girls took off. Katie was off to lunch with a friend and Becky went to a friend's house. Here I am all alone again....even the dog is outside. I guess I'll do some work.
